Location: Bandra West
Experience: 3–5 Years
About the Role
This role is with a boutique investment banking and financial advisory setup. The organization advises clients on fundraising, cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, and strategic growth, working closely with global investors and venture capital firms.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to ITAT proceedings or appellate matters.
Experience in TP audits, assessments, or benchmarking.
Familiarity with databases such as Prowess / Capitaline.
Experience in handling cross-border tax matters.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax Litigation
Assist in handling income tax litigation matters.
Draft and review appeals, submissions, replies, and written representations.
Support proceedings before Assessing Officer (AO), CIT(A), ITAT, and other tax authorities.
Research case laws, judicial precedents, and CBDT circulars.
Coordinate with tax counsels, Chartered Accountants, and internal teams.
Transfer Pricing
Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation.
Conduct FAR analysis and benchmarking studies.
Assist in determination of Arm’s Length Price (ALP).
Support preparation of Form 3CEB and TP compliance.
Assist during transfer pricing assessments and audits.
Work on cross-border related party transactions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
CA / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) / LLM (Tax) / M.Com.
Strong understanding of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing regulations and OECD guidelines.
Experience in tax litigation or transfer pricing documentation preferred.
Strong drafting, analytical, and MS Excel skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
