Primary Responsibilities :
Store & Inventory Management
- Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to support operational requirements.
- Monitor stock movement and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Material Receiving & Dispatch
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Ensure proper inspection, labeling, and storage of materials.
- Coordinate dispatch of materials as per operational requirements.
- Maintain records of all inward and outward material movements.
Stock Control & Audits
- Conduct regular stock verification and inventory audits.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare inventory reports and stock status updates for management.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure proper material handling, stacking, and storage practices.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Monitor housekeeping and cleanliness within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.
- Manage Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), and stock registers.
- Ensure timely updating of inventory transactions.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit purposes.
Team Management
- Supervise storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and support staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance.
- Provide training on inventory processes and safety procedures.
- Ensure discipline and productivity within the store team.
Vendor & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement, production, maintenance, and logistics departments.
- Support procurement teams with inventory planning and reorder requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding material shortages or discrepancies.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory procedures.
- Follow warehouse safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
Experience Requirements:
Education
- B.Tech (Mechanical) OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Store Management, Warehouse Operations, or Inventory Control.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial, or Supply Chain environments preferred.
