Job Summary
The Lead – Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control programs across the healthcare facility. This role ensures compliance with international healthcare standards, minimizes infection risks, and promotes a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in infection control within hospitals
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and healthcare standards (WHO, CDC, JCI)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and training abilities

Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities (15)
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and procedures
- Monitor hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and analyze trends
- Conduct regular infection control audits and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with international and local healthcare standards
- Train and educate staff on infection prevention protocols
- Oversee sterilization, disinfection, and waste management processes
- Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments
- Monitor hand hygiene compliance across the facility
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate infection control data and reporting systems
- Conduct surveillance and reporting of infectious diseases
- Lead quality improvement initiatives related to infection control
- Stay updated with latest IPC guidelines and best practices
- Ensure readiness for accreditation audits and inspections
