Job Description (JD)
Role Overview:
We are looking for 42 experienced Quay Crane (QC) / Ship-to-Shore (STS) Operators for a major port project. This role is critical for the loading and unloading of container vessels with high precision and speed while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 3–7 years of experience specifically operating STS/Quay Cranes in a high-volume maritime terminal.
License: Valid certification/license for STS/Quay Crane operation.
Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working at significant heights (40m-60m) and pass a rigorous medical/vision test.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with modern Crane Control Systems and anti-sway technology.
Language: Basic proficiency in English for operational radio communication.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Vessel Operations: Efficiently operate Quay Cranes to move containers between the vessel and the quay/terminal trailers.
Precision Handling: Handle "Twin-lift" or "Tandem-lift" operations where required, ensuring no damage to cargo or the vessel.
Safety Protocols: Conduct mandatory pre-shift inspections and strictly follow the directions of the Signalman/Deckman.
Productivity: Maintain high Gross Moves Per Hour (GMPH) to ensure vessel schedules are met.
Emergency Response: Demonstrate quick thinking and adherence to emergency shutdown procedures if safety is compromised.
