Staff Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Application Engineering

Design and implement scalable and high-performance backend components across multiple microservices.

Contribute to architecture planning, solution design, and technical decision-making.

Define service boundaries, API standards, and integration patterns.

Improve system resilience, concurrency handling, fault tolerance, and maintainability.

Review architecture, design, and code changes across internal and external teams.

Build end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business requirements.

Microservices & Cloud Infrastructure

Develop and maintain production-grade microservices and asynchronous workflows.

Work with cloud-native technologies and containerized deployments.

Support Kubernetes-based environments and container orchestration.

Contribute to infrastructure scalability and operational stability.

Delivery & Operational Excellence

Improve CI/CD pipelines, release processes, rollback strategies, and deployment reliability.

Enhance monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.

Participate in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and architecture notes.

Promote sustainable engineering practices and operational readiness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Cloud, and Operations teams.

Coordinate with external vendors and distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Drive adoption of coding standards, best practices, and engineering governance.

Required Experience

10+ years of software development and engineering experience.

Strong hands-on backend development experience.

Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade distributed systems.

Strong expertise in:

Java

Kotlin

Spring Boot

Hibernate

Experience in backend performance tuning and optimization.

Database Knowledge

Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of relational databases.

Hands-on experience with:

PostgreSQL

Similar relational databases

Cloud & DevOps

Experience with cloud platforms such as:

AWS

Azure

GCP

Hands-on experience with:

Docker / Podman

Kubernetes

Helm

Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern deployment practices.

Additional Preferred Skills

Understanding of frontend technologies such as:

Qualification
