Primary Responsibilities :
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat bone, joint, ligament, tendon, muscle, and spine-related disorders.
- Conduct OPD consultations and inpatient rounds.
- Manage trauma, fracture, and emergency orthopaedic cases.
- Perform orthopaedic surgeries including trauma and elective procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions.
- Monitor patient recovery and rehabilitation progress.
Surgical Responsibilities
- Perform fracture fixation, joint procedures, and other orthopaedic surgeries.
- Evaluate surgical candidates and provide pre-operative counselling.
- Ensure proper post-operative care and follow-up.
- Manage complications and emergency surgical interventions when required.
Patient Care & Coordination
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, rehabilitation, and preventive care.
- Coordinate with physiotherapists, radiologists, anaesthetists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient management.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records and clinical documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols, quality standards, and ethical medical practices.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with medical regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and continuous medical education programs.
- Support initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service quality.
Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualification
- MS Orthopaedics from a recognized institution.
Registration
- Valid State Medical Council/NMC Registration.
Experience
- Experience in managing:
- OPD and IPD patients
- Trauma and fracture cases
- Orthopaedic emergencies
- Orthopaedic surgical procedures
Skills Required
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in Orthopaedics.
- Excellent patient management and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergency and trauma cases effectively.
- Strong decision-making and diagnostic abilities.
- Team-oriented approach with multidisciplinary coordination skills.
