Primary Responsibilities :

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Identify purchasing requirements.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities.
  • Monitor quarterly, monthly, and weekly purchase plans.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, assets, and utilities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments.

Vendor Development & Management

  • Develop new vendors and evaluate supplier capabilities.
  • Manage existing supplier relationships.
  • Source and identify potential suppliers.
  • Compare quotations and commercial terms.
  • Monitor vendor pricing and performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and supplier markets.

Cost Control & Negotiation

  • Negotiate technical and commercial terms with vendors.
  • Implement cost-control initiatives.
  • Control procurement costs and inflation.
  • Negotiate pricing with new and existing suppliers.
  • Plan procurement strategies based on quarterly budgets.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor daily and weekly inventory levels.
  • Track supplier delivery schedules.
  • Maintain optimum inventory across locations.
  • Coordinate with:
    • Supply Chain
    • Quality Control
    • Receiving Teams
  • Ensure inventory is maintained according to SOPs and target stock levels.

Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare inventory status reports.
  • Maintain vendor database.
  • Generate reorder level reports.
  • Prepare budgeting reports.
  • Conduct monthly procurement reviews.

Team Management

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of purchase team members.
  • Train new employees.
  • Provide procurement support to senior management.
Experience Requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate
  • MBA (Preferred)

Experience Required

  • 5–12 years of experience in:
    • Purchasing
    • Procurement
    • Logistics
    • Supply Chain Management
